Friday: 2 PM. Depart Brisbane for Agnes Water. Its 500 KM between the two places, a distance which we cover in an overall travelling time of 7.5 hours. We generally make two rest stops along the way, one of which is a meal break for you to have dinner.
We generally arrive at our accommodation at Agnes Water at about 9:40 PM.
Saturday: We spend all day out on the beautiful Southern Great Barrier Reef on board the specialist dive boat the M.V Narcosis. All equipment and lunch is supplied. Often we see turtles, manta rays, many kinds of fish, coral, clams, dolphins and whales (in season). One day will never be enough. Optional introductory and certified diving at extra cost.
Sunday: Enjoy a free morning relaxing on the beach or participate in an optional extra activity such as a surf lesson. After lunch we start our long drive back to Brisbane

Two changes of clothes, swimwear, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, towel, photo ID
Inclusions:
Air-conditioned mini-bus to and from Agnes Water/Town of 1770. Accommodation on a multi-share basis at a modern hostel, Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, Lunch and dinner on Saturday, full-day excursion to the reef, use of snorkelling equipment.
Exclusions:
Items of personal nature. Diving options. Dinner on Friday, lunch on Sunday

Please read the following Terms & Conditions Of Travel, as they are relevant for
everybody's benefit.
Tours and excursions are advertised in good faith. They are however subject to change or alteration, whether it be content, program, vehicle, timetable or route by factors outside our control.
Factors include but are not limited to weather, road, track, conditions, illness or injury of participants, breakdown of vehicles or where in the opinion of tour leader a potentially safety issue exists.
If we cancel your tour, you will be offered:
An unconditional 100 % refund, or an alternative tour at the same price as the one we cancelled.
If you cancel your booking:
- within 48 hours of departure, you will forfeit 50% of your
tour price.
- within 24 hours of departure, there will be no refund.
- or fail to board the bus on the day of departure, you are not entitled to any refund. It is your responsibility to be at the appointed departure point, with sufficient time to board your bus.
You are responsible for the safety, health and security of yourself and your belongings.
Backroads Touring Co, its agents, contractors and any appointed person or entity acting as an authorized representative will not be held responsible in any way for any accident, injury, death, ill health, theft or damage to property however caused.
Your safety is our concern and your responsibility. If in any situation you consider your health safety, well-being or security is or is likely to be compromised, it is your responsibility to notify our representative and not participate further in the activity or situation until you are sure of your safety.
You are obligated to comply with the directions and instructions of Backroads Touring CompanyÂ’s representatives. Any person causing disharmony within the group, causing wilful damage to property or compromising the safety or enjoyment of others may be asked to leave the tour. In the unlikely event that persons are removed from the tour, they will be held responsible for all forward travel and expenses incurred as a result of their removal.
Backroads Touring Company will not be held responsible for passengers missing on going transport connections or consequences of any kind resulting from delays or unscheduled changes, however caused.
You must accept that you may be travelling through and spending time in natural areas. These experiences may expose you to physical and emotional conditions, which are outside of your normal day-to-day life and comfort zone. No guarantee is made that places, wildlife, weather conditions etc. that you experience will be the same as those depicted in advertising photos or as described in our advertising material. The natural world is as unpredictable as its beautiful.
Photo's depicting general group activity, locations and participants maybe taken by us and used in promotional material or on our complimentary web based photo page without further consultation or prior approval by you. If you do not wish to have a photograph showing you used in the above way you must inform us at the time the photo is taken.
